About Walsall
Walsall is a town in the West Midlands region of England. It
is perhaps best know for its saddle manufacturing, with local football team Walsall
FC nicknamed The Saddlers due to this significance.Walsall’s traditional leather industry also survives today,
with the town still manufacturing handbags for Her Majesty The Queen. Walsall
Leather Museum celebrates the town’s leather and saddle making history which
is still going strong after 200 years.Those with an interest in the history of the town can visit Walsall
Museum which displays relics from Walsall dating back many years ago,
helping to paint a picture of what life was like in Walsall in a bygone age.
