About Preston
Granted city status in 2002, Preston is a city located in
the North West of England. The city is famous for its illustrious football
heritage. Football is the main Preston sport, with Preston North End FC representing
the city nationally. Their Deepdale home also houses the National Football Museum. The
club was a founder member of the Football League and has
had many fine players, the legendary Sir Tom Finney probably best of them all.Preston is also known for its university, the University of Central Lancashire, which is
one of the largest institutions in the country, catering for over 30,000
students. It has also created many Preston jobs, employing several of members
of staff.
