About Teesside
Teesside is a county located in the North East of England,
consisting chiefly of Middlesbrough, along with Stockton-on-Tees, Hartlepool
and Redcar. Neighbouring counties include North Yorkshire and Durham.
The area is a hotbed for football, which is the main
Teesside sport. Many teams in and around the region compete nationally for
league and cup honours, namely Middlesbrough
FC, Newcastle United FC, Hartlepool United FC, Darlington FC and Sunderland AFC.
Teesside also has a university, the University of Teesside, educating over 20,000
students. The institution offers students courses at undergraduate and
postgraduate levels, as well as on a part-time basis, if required.
