About Oxford
Located in the county of Oxfordshire, the city of Oxford is renowned
for its prestigious university, the University
of Oxford. Teaching existed at Oxford since 1096, and the University of
Oxford is a much sought after place of learning for ambitious people from all
over the world.The area is also home to another university, Oxford Brookes University. This
institution was formerly known as the Oxford School of Art, and was granted
university status in the early 1990s.
