About Birmingham
Located in the West Midlands, Birmingham is often referred to as the UK's second
city. It is the biggest core city in England, and was allotted city status by Queen
Victoria in 1889.
Birmingham is one of Britain’s premier retail venues, with the
Bullring
shopping centre attracting millions of visitors throughout the
year. This, coupled with its many museums, galleries and sports venues, makes Birmingham
one of the most important cities in Britain.
