About Northampton
Northampton is a large market town located in the East
Midlands region of England. Its central location makes it an easily accessible
part of the UK. A lot of Northampton traffic enters the area via the M1
motorway, while Northampton
Railway Station, located on the site of the former Northampton Castle, also
links the town to the rest of the country. Nearby airports include East Midlands Airport and Birmingham International Airport.The town used to be known for its shoemaking industry. This has
sadly declined in recent years and has almost come to an end, with only a few
shoemaking businesses still remaining.
