About Southend
Southend is part of the county of Essex, situated in the
East of England region. It is also known as Southend-on-Sea due to its coastal
location. Southend is known for being a popular seaside resort, with many
tourists attracted to the area to visit Southend Pier, which is the longest
pleasure pier in the world stretching over a mile into the Thames Estuary.A lot of Southend business takes place at the Adventure Island Theme Park, which
is home to over 30 rides catering for hardened thrill seekers and families
alike. The park is free to enter, with visitors only being charged for the
rides they go on.
