British Grand Prix Weekend

Saved on 05/07/2008

Since I got married and got a mortgage, I've spent very little time going to motorsport events. Not just because of the money involved, but also the time. I went to Silverstone for the Grand Prix Masters nearly two years ago and have been to the Goodwood Festival recently though. When I was younger, it...

Back to the Daily Grind

Saved on 29/06/2008

After a relaxing couple of weeks off, I'm back to the 9-5 tomorrow.A few of my plans failed, as I wasn't feeling fighting fit for a while (I've still got stitches in my head!) but it was nice to be able to take it easy at home.It has been good to get back on the radio, doing the Saturday Kickabout on...

Nokia N82 Black Compared with my N95

Saved on 27/06/2008

I have been in the fortunate position of being able to test a Black Nokia N82 for the past two weeks, thanks to WOM World. As I went into hospital just before receiving the phone, I've only recently been able to put the phone through its paces. Effectively I have done a straight comparison with the...

French Grand Prix

Saved on 22/06/2008

I watched the race live on ITV as our plans to go away have not materialised (I didn't fancy the journey just a week after my operation). The world championship looks like being wide open for the rest of the season, although the way Hamilton has reacted to the pressure in the last two races, I'd be amazed...

Surprise! I bought a book! From a bookshop!

Saved on 17/06/2008

After yesterday's post about boring book shops, I popped into Waterstones, more out habit than anything else. Looking through the horror section, I saw "Lonely Werewolf Girl" . The title seemed to be a bit of a pee take - there a lot of werewolf /vampire books that could have the same title (or perhaps...

Head for Blogging

Saved on 17/06/2008

It has been a good few days since I last wrote anything here. The reason for this is that I've been in hospital, and I'm not sure if the headache I have is caused by the general anaesthetic or the stitches in my head. Either way, I'm fed up with taking it easy and desperately want to go out tomorrow...

Book shops

Saved on 16/06/2008

I'm getting fed up with bookshops.Being a book junkie I never thought I'd be saying that. But these days shops don't sell books that I want to read. They seem to sell a very narrow range of authors. I'm sure that this has to do with with economies of scale and all that sort of stuff, but it means I...

10 niggles

Saved on 15/06/2008

I ripped this from Ms Mac. its about 10 things that wind you up.1. Whilst in the hospital I noticed that the nurse would take Steve's blood pressure, temperature without introducing herself or saying what she was going to do. A Doctor asked Steve to open his mouth, took a look and then walked away.Why?...

Hospitals.

Saved on 15/06/2008

Steve had his operation yesterday, to remove a cyst on his scalp. The doctor did a really brilliant job. We thought that he would have to have his head shaved, but he still has his full head of hair. Aren't hospitals boring and depressing? I think Doctors and Nurses must have a real vocation - the hours...

Sex and the City

Saved on 13/06/2008

Saw the SATC film this afternoon and really enjoyed. Laughed out load a few times, but the film isn't as funny as the series. the film was more serious - forgiveness is the main theme of the film. It makes me wish that they would do another series - there is still life in those four women. It also made...
